We are officially stuck indoors folks. Winter has carried her icy cool breath in from the west and planted herself right in our front yard. And here I am, still experiencing the winter I was so sure I’d miss out on with our relocation here to beautiful Asheville, North Carolina.
Rich, Tyler and I are stuck inside the house, writing music, watching movies, and both of them playing their respective video games (Rich is currently on Resident Evil 4, while Tyler is conquering an 80 game FIFA match), and I peruse the glorious interweb for interesting things to look at and watch.
It’s 1-11-11 which I love, because it seems like an opportunity start fresh. The official “day one” if you will.
My birthday is four days away, so the new year for me every year in every sense is, a new year. A new age, a new time, a new chance to become a better version of myself.
Today I am forced inside to reflect on the things that have come to pass and the things that I would like to be. Maybe the snow isn’t half bad after all. It lets us slow down and remember the things that we once knew.
