Review in the Daily Times Tennessee!

Krisko, however, is very much alive, and the music made by The Broadcast celebrates everything it means to be alive with a raggedly beautiful repertoire of rock ‘n’ roll inspired by the classic sounds of the 1970s. Krisko sings, growls and wails like a cross between Grace Potter and Erika Wennerstrom, and The Broadcast has slowly but surely earned a healthy following of fans around the Southeast, including here in East Tennessee, to which the band returns this weekend.

The band’s origins date back to New York City; a Brooklyn girl, Krisko cut her teeth in the New York scene and still credits the Big Apple for the breakneck pace she sets for herself and the energy she sustains in a band full of guys pounding out drum fills, guitar chords and keyboard runs while she prowls the stage in front of them.
